We are pleased to announce that Margaret Burke is now our Queensland State Co-ordinator
My name is Margaret Burke, I am a widow and I have one daughter, a son-in-law and granddaughter. I have CMT and there are about 10 other members of my family affected in various ways.
I was Queensland Coordinator for about eleven years until my late husband become ill. After which I spent 14 months in and out of hospital with cellulitis in my leg which now seems to be cured “touch wood”.
As Queensland Coordinator my initiative is to try to hold coffee n chat mornings once every two months with a guest speaker if possible. I will try to raise funds for research. It would be nice if one day they could find a cure or something that would help to make the lives of people with CMT better. But for this to happen we need the research and the research will not happen without funding.
I look forward to working with the other Coordinators to help make the future of our CMT families better.
